Five years ago we were given a vision of what our body of believers was to accomplish.  
This was our foundation of common hopes and dreams of what we were to accomplish
for God and a meaningful future.

Unified, Oak Park Church of the Brethren is moving forward toward
the realization of it's destiny:
  "To be a Blessing."

Our vision . . .

1.  Our church will be filled with seniors from within our church and the community engaged in need-meeting ministries.

2.  Our church will be filled with youth from within our church and the community engaged in after-school activities which may include a youth choir, a contemporary worship service, one-on-one counseling, support groups for youth dealing with such issues as substance abuse, divorce, abuse, low self-esteem, etc.

3.  Our church will have regular productions and programs to reach people with the Gospel message.

4.  Our church will be filled with women's support groups dealing with many issues; parenting skills, on being a single parent, cancer survival, abuse issues, etc.

5.  Our church will be filled with additional Sunday School classes which will include classes for singles, couples, post-high and young adult ages plus more need-meeting classes.

6.  Our church will have a large number of weekly in-home Bible study groups that provide learning and fellowship.

7.  Our church will have an expanded music ministry which will include a large choir that will do ministry outside the church as well.

8.  Our church will house a low-cost Christian Counseling Center for our people as well as the community.

9.  Our church will be hosting youth and adult Christian-based sports activities such as basketball, volleyball, etc.

10.  Our existing ministries will be creating additional ministry opportunities for our people and the community.
